Why do the course

Perioperative medicine is an emerging field of medicine that has developed in response to the increasing age and complexity of patients and in the number of surgical procedures being performed. The course has been developed as a collaboration between Perioperative Medicine experts at both Monash University and University College London and aims to provide a comprehensive overview of topics considered important in the field.

 

Course Dates

  • July Course: 10 July – 18 August 2023
  • September Course: 18 September – 27 October 2023
 

Information

  • Six week course and six course modules (one released each week).
  • Allows for flexibility in work patterns – once a module is released weekly, lectures and reading material can be viewed at own pace and at any time.
  • Online only, no on-campus attendance required.
  • Each course module consists with a reading package, journal articles, short videos, podcasts and knowledge check sections or combinations.
  • No assessments (nor minimum pass mark).
  • All participants have extra one month to access the course modules.
  • You can download the Certificate of Completion at the end of the course if you have accessed and completed all the course modules and the final course survey.
